Welcome Message From The President
On behalf of the EMT’s, Lieutenants, Captains
and Paramedics who make up the EMS Division of the BPPA, welcome
to our web site.
We hope you find the information useful and we
welcome your thoughts and suggestions.
To The Membership
There are many new faces among our ranks. We welcome you and
encourage you to get involved. A union is as good as
its membership makes it!
Our challenges are many and we will meet them
head on.
Our contract expired on June 30, 2002 and we had our first
bargaining session in March, 2003. Legislation was filed again
in 2002 for the 2003 session. Group 4 Retirement and the Line
of Duty Death benefit are among our issues as they have been
for 10 years.
Our affiliation with NEEON will aid in our efforts
to keep abreast of issues at the National level.
Our efforts will continue to improve the working
conditions for our members and we will strive to help “the
other side” get it right!
