PAX Centurion - May / June 2015
Page 14 • PAX CENTURION • June/July 2015 617-989-BPPA (2772) disturbed, illogical, irrational people. It is entirely possible to express grief for a relative or loved one, no matter how obviously wrong they were , without becoming a spectacle and making a fool of yourself. As the saying goes, “You’re entitled to your own opinion, but not to your own facts .” Right out of the box, family members, such as his brother, began using inflammatory, racially-charged, manufactured lies to describe the incident. “He was shot three times in the back while talking on his cellphone to his Father and said “I can’t breathe,” said his brother. The majority of the media dutifully covered the family’s tirades and did not challenge them on the “I can’t breathe” quote. (Geez, where did I hear that one before?) The brother later had to retract this falsehood after the video proved him wrong and this version of events didn’t fit the desired narrative, but he explained it away as “well, those are the FACTS that I heard at first…”. FACTS are not something you heard from the first dope to show up with a candle and a stuffed animal for the impromptu “shrine” that will undoubtedly be established for this sterling young man at the Roslin- dale CVS. Aunt Karen inferred that Rahim was merely reacting to “the slaughter of black men across the country.” (And 98% of young black men are killed by…???) She also stated that “…if it wasn’t for him being a Muslim, then we would not be hearing terrorism or ISIS…”. Ahhm,…Auntie Karen, you are correct here: that is because Catholic nuns are not slamming planes into buildings, Buddhists are not chopping off the heads of Coptic Christians in Libya, Hindus are not attacking NewYork City police officers with knives and ham- mers, Protestants are not planting bombs in Times Square, and Jews are not arming themselves withAK-47’s and intending to kill people because of satirical cartoons drawn in Texas or Paris. Did Catholics riot or attempt to kill people when the NewYork Times “celebrated” “artist”Andres Serrano’s “Piss Christ” photo exhibit - paid for, by the way- by taxpayers via the National Endowment for theArts? Or the artistic “sculpture” of the Madonna covered in elephant dung? So Aunt Karen, you are indeed correct! We would not be hearing about Islamic terrorism…. unless it was for the FACT that Rahim was an Islamic terrorist. (Give this woman 10 points for truthfulness and ac- curacy. At least she said what the cowards in the media wouldn’t…. ) Some of the most inflammatory statements were made by Usaa- mah’s spiritual mentor, ImamAbdullah Faarooq of the Mosque for the Praising of Allah. Imam Faarooq stated “I ask that God overlook the shortcomings in the people who continue to exist ( Ed.: strange and dangerous language from a “spiritual leader” don’t you think? A veiled threat…?) that murdered the young man.” He also said the officers were “reckless” (did they also act “stupidly”, like the Cambridge police, Imam ? I recall somebody else making that state- ment…who was it?) and that “ [ if you want to apprehend someone without killing them ] you can capture lions and tigers and bears, oh my,” using the analogy of the “Wizard of Oz.” No, Imam, if the cow- ardly lion is armed with a 10” long military bar-knife, he becomes a deadly lion. And then, he becomes a “horse of a different color”, to throw your “Oz” analogy back at you. ( I loved the movie too, Imam! Do you have ruby slippers like Dorothy?) The Imam attempted to backpedal the next day after the videotape had been viewed by the family, but he had already shot his big mouth off without knowing the facts, a la Al Sharpton. His half-hearted “apology” is not even minimally believable, except by the most gullible and stupid among us. Obviously, Faarooq is a koooq. (Let me hedge my bets again: “Al- lahAkbar!” The only one who is allowed to take my head off is my wife, and she does it without benefit of a knife and with regularity. “ A sharp tongue is far more deadly than a sharp knife.” From the book of Husbands, verse 3, chapter 6. ) But perhaps the worst remarks I’ve seen, at least before Pax press time, is the Boston Globe’s reporting by Michael Levenson. On Saturday, June 6 th , 2015, page B-11, Levenson quoted some idiot professor (I know, a redundant term) named Seth Stoughton from the University of South Carolina. Seth purports to be a “for- mer police officer”. (Geez, I wonder why?...) Seth says “he was not certain whether the police had to shoot Rahim. When police en- counter a knife-wielding suspect, that’s potentially a good situation in which to use a Taser”, he said. One officer can use the Taser, he said, while another takes out a gun as a backup. But without seeing the video, I can’t say whether this is one of those of those options”. (Professor, always remember: It’s better to keep your mouth shut and have the world think you’re an idiot than to open it and remove all doubt. Now go back to the Palmetto State, bury yourself on Myrtle Beach and shutup, please…). Apparently, neither Globe reporter Levenson nor “Professor” Stoughton bothered to check the fact that Boston Police Officers do not have and have never had Tasers, never mind the stupidity of their illogical ruminations about what the officers “could have done”. When you’re up to your ass in alligators, it’s a little bit hard to remember that your job was to drain the swamp. They have just provided proof positive of why I hate reporters and academics… But whoever thought that “Blazing Saddles” would become a police training film? I always knewMel Brooks was a visionary….
