Goldberg, P.C. is proud to continue supporting the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association.Attorney Goldberg is honored to be the personal lawyer for many of its members and families for almost 25 years. The majority of our police clients are referred to us by other officers we have represented and with whom we have established close relationships. We fight for the rights of police men and women who are injured both on-duty and off, some of whom do not know that they have a right to a claim until they call us.The financial compensation we obtain for them includes lost pay – base, detail, and overtime – even when they receive Pay with Leave or used sick days. It also includes payment for medical expenses, disability, and pain and suffering. We are also excited to announce that we have a new website, at the same web address www.goldberglawfirm.net, which has more information about claims for police officers and insurance. If you, your family, or friends have been injured, or if would like advice about how to protect yourself and your family before an incident, then please contact Attorney Goldberg for a free consultation. Social media has created twenty-four hour news coverage for cop-hating venom. Often these videos do not show the whole incident as investigations have later revealed but by that time it’s usually too late as the police officer’s reputation is dragged through the mud pending a lengthy investigation. I want to focus on an incident that happened in Chinatown a police officers stopped a so-called human being Filthy Piece of Trash (a long rap sheet to prove his new first name) who was harassing and threatening elderly citizens performing the crime watch in that hard-working neighborhood. These people performing the crime watch do this duty for free. The walking beat down there was notified of the problem. The walking beat stopped Mr. Piece of Trash and called for assistance. The first unit to get there was a detective unit. The detective, a hulking mass that looks like he could be a leg-breaker for a crime family and his partner 64.5 years old were around the corner, when they heard the walking beat calling for assistance. Both detectives could tell from the patrolman’s voice over the radio that he was in an uncomfortable situation. By Matt Carey The detectives arrived on scene and immediately went to assist the patrolman that was now wrestling with the suspect. Other cops on scene were forced to set up a perimeter in front of the cops trying affect the arrest as there was group videotaping, yelling, screaming and trying to push past police to rescue their friend, Mr. Piece of Trash. One cop told me, it was heart-wrenching to hear one of the detectives say “he’s biting me” not being able to help more due to dealing with the crowd. Once the dust settled a detective was bitten and the other detective complained of his ribs being bruised. It only gets better. The piece of trash was escorted placed in a wagon and started yelling “I can’t breathe” sound familiar. As this is going on there is this twenty-something-year-old with blue hair, one glove, a nose ring and a piece symbol pin on her stone-washed jacket, some would say a hipster. I have other words I would like to use, but I will not use them in the Pax which may be a Pulitzer winner this year. One of the detectives who was visibly upset said to her, “I hope you got everything.” The hipster’s response was, “I didn’t like the way you treated him.” The detective queried, “I hope you got him biting me and the big chunk of flesh out of my back.” The hipster magically did not get any of that footage. I’m sure the video will still be posted onYouTube for all to see. As always guys and girls, stay safe. Social media has created 24-hour news coverage for cop-hating venom
